After 15 years of service to young people in Honor of the Late Derek Smith, The Kentucky Basketball Foundation , Inc., in conjunction with Derek's son Nolan Smith's Senior year in college have decided to retire the Derek Smith All-Stars traveling team | The dates for the 16th Annual Derek Smith Shootout High School Basketball Tourney are set for June 15-17, 2012 in Louisville. The East/West Roundball All-Star Weekend will be held in Louisville on April 21-22, 2012.

This year we have added the All "A" Class and Junior Varsity Divisions for smaller enrollment schools and J.V. teams that will start on June 18 at Mid-America. The open Varsity division will be held at Hoops, as always, with play starting on the 19th of June.

General Admission will be $5.00 to $7.00 for adults and Children Ages 4-6 are $3.00. Children 3 & under are Free. Admission at one facility will not get you into the other facility on Friday because these are seperate tourneys and facilities. At 2:30 on Thursday at MidAmerica and 3:00 on Friday at Hoops there where be a break in action on the main courts for a Special Guest Speaker sponsored by the Louisville Area Fellowship of Christian athletes. All are encouraged to attend.
